Hey everyone!
This is my last blog post. I wasn't able to press send when I left, so I retroactively sent it in 2015.
I am almost done with my trip and will be leaving this Friday! I have one more shift left and that is tomorrow morning (in 5 hours and I should probably go to bed right now) and then I am meeting up with my mom at my Aunt and Uncles house for the remaining 3 days.
It's insane how fast this trip went. The day I arrived seems like yesterday and before I had a chance to blink, I have one more shift left.
Over the past month after a blog post, people have been asking me how my calls have "changed me". I've been contemplating how this trip has changed me, and I've talked to several other volunteers about this. My personality has not changed, I'm the same "me" that left LA two months ago, but my perspective on a lot of things has changed.
A quote that has stuck with me is from the talmud: "If you save one life, you've saved the entire world once over."
